How to set up and optimize your personal profile

Avatar photo, introduction bio, and languages spoken

A complete profile allows you to find like-minded people in your area, unlocks points to level up, and ensures your safety in an SOS emergency.

Step 1: How to access your Profile

1. From the app's main screen, tap your avatar icon in the top right of the header. 2. In the pop-up menu, select the first option: Profile (👤 icon). 3. You will land on the main screen divided into horizontal tabs: Personal • About me • Channels • Areas • Medical data • Preferences.

Step 2: "Personal" Tab – Your identity in the tribe

In this first tab, define who you are and how others will see you in the app:

- Avatar Photo: tap the button to select a photo from your gallery (automatically optimized into a lightweight format). - Nickname (@username): your unique public handle. Use it to be mentioned in chats and to invite friends with your personal referral link. - First and Last Name: legal identity details (never displayed publicly in the app). - Date of Birth: set during registration to verify the age requirement (≥14 years old) and non-editable for security reasons. - Social Profiles: you can link your profiles (Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook, X, TikTok, YouTube, or website). They will only appear on your public card if you choose to share them.

Step 3: "About me" Tab – Find people who share your passions

This is the most important part for connecting with fellow Tribers. The details entered here allow the app to calculate affinity with people you meet in chats and at events:

- Introduction (Bio): a few lines describing who you are, what you enjoy doing in your spare time, or what you are looking for in the community. - Nationality & Spoken Languages: select the languages you speak to easily communicate with locals and international members. - Music Genres, Books & Sports: tap tags to pick your favorite genres and the sports you play or follow (e.g. Rock, Electronic, Novels, Hiking, Padel, Calisthenics).

Step 4: "Medical Data & SOS" Tab – Your safety first

This tab is optional but recommended, especially if you join hikes, outdoor events, or sports:

- Share on SOS card: keep the toggle switch active to make this information visible only during an emergency. - Key health data: blood type, severe allergies, lifesaving medications, and important medical conditions. - Emergency contacts: add one or more trusted numbers (spouse, parent, friend) with their relationship, reachable with a single tap by emergency responders.

Step 5: "Preferences" Tab – Customize your experience

From here you can adjust how you use the app:

- App language: choose between Italian, Spanish, English, French, or German with their respective flags. - Graphic theme: switch anytime between Light mode (white/banana background) and Dark mode (black/charcoal). - Units of measurement: kilometers or miles, Celsius or Fahrenheit.
